Agility is a highly addictive and fun sport for both dogs and owners, and at Shrewsbury we endeavour to keep it that way. We try to provide appropriate instruction, advice and training sessions that cater for all abilities and types of dog. Your dog does not have to be a Border Collie or working sheepdog to be successful – most dogs enjoy running around and jumping, and it builds a great bond between an owner and their pet. Within the KC Agility framework there are many categories for different levels of ability (actually 7 Grades), and four different height groups so that dogs are competing on an equal basis. There are also other (non KC) Agility organisations and independent groups that offer even more flexible and inclusive ways to participate.

 

Please note that we are a Dog Agility Training Club, and do not do puppy socialisation, obedience or Flyball, and cannot offer recommendations for trainers. The Club is entirely run by volunteers and is not for the profit of Members or the Committee – please bear this in mind when contacting us.
